Then the problem fails to arise. How it fails to arise will need
discussion: most likely a frosty response from the Court that the matter
is in hand and no attacks on any Maxim facility on, in or surrounded by
UCAS territory are anticipated, et cetera et cetera: that government
interference in corporate matters is irrelevant and unwelcome; et cetera.

The politicians in the UCAS can claim a victory. The corps know the real
score. The public can be reassured that it's all SOP in response to a
(fill in the blanks, it's very late) incident and there was never any
risk or danger.

It was actually a rhetorical question in answer to "why so general a
posting"? :) However, the phrases 'holding company' and 'wholly owned
subsidiary' come to mind when looking at 'only eight facilities' for
a major corporation.

The UCAS *might* try some investigation to verify that, but certainly not
within that sort of timescale, and probably unsuccessfully: if Maxim are at
least nominally back within the fold, the Court would then be protecting
Maxim and much of what I've written (re. an isolated corp) becomes irrelevant.
In any case, outside the UCAS = out of sight, out of mind, someone else's
problem, and most of all expensive to check.
