Mr. Hughes, the normal elf IS another human being. Genetically, they the
same as orcs, trolls, humans, and dwarfs, with that tiny bit that makes them
elves.

However, given all the evidence presented by FASA, there is a cabal of
immortal elves. As far as I can tell, only these very few elves, and perhaps
a couple of outsiders, are immortal. This means there is a cultural tie to
the past (ED), which no other race has. THIS is the difference. I didn't
imply physical differences.

And as far as creating "noble orcs"...why? Orcs are people too. Are any of
us paragons of virtue? Elves, with that cabal directing their moves, are
different. Without that cabal, they are just like orcs and humans and the
rest.

Here's atidbit of info you all might be interested in. FASA plans it's
products about 18 months in advance. The general vision of the SR world is
planned as much as three years in advance. So I suspect they had the
inklings of all this elf stuff back when the game was being created.
