And Tom's comment about Ryaka Science and Tech is part of the reason that
Maxim is going away for a while: We each have different ideas about our
pet corps, if we have one, and how they relate to the universe in our
personal games, but that wouldn't mesh well with the world here.

Primo example is my not being allowed to make Maxim a Big 9 corp a year
ago, because it would be too much of a change. In my world, this would
have happened just like RST for Tom is a huge and powerful corp, but here
we can't do that because doing so changes the concensual reality we agree
to work under.

Thus Tom has to scale back Ryaka's influcence and size and I have to quiet
Maxim down. And the only reason that people don't complain about RST is
because Tom keeps it quiet most of the time.
