Personally, but I think this may go for some other people as well, I'm just
drained. That Maxim plot went and then it was over, and now it's kina
"where to from here?" aimlessness. I've got things running through my head,
but I can't think of how to introduce them with out making it sound stupid
with a capital "Duh?" And I'm also trying to play my character. He (blade)
would comment some (like he has) but otherwise try to keep a really low
profile until Maxim cools down a little.

>actively accepted munchikinism,
Where? My definition of munchkinism is probably different than yours. But
other than J&G (who I hate with a passion)

J&G again? I know I used some of Blades old stuff, but they really just
were for the story's sake than anything else, cause they could die and no
one would would have room to complain (practise the art of Kirk Fu, surround
yourself with redshirts :)

Hold it, first you want to follow the book, and now you say that following
that is restrictive. Very few have ever been able to change their t/d in
the books. The only one I remember with any clarity was the Smiling Bandit
in ShadowTech, and everyone on the board was wondering how the hell he did
that. Now, I'm goig to check, but I've seen FastJacks post in books before,
and rarely are his ever changed, and he is _the_ best decker in SR. I think
that it should be very difficult to change the stamps, and I liked the idea
that the plotd group would decide if a character was sufficiently good
enough to change them (I never will, Blade considers himself lucky to be
able to make it to the board, and for that, he needed help) I think not
being able to change t/d stamps isn't so much a restriction on imagination
as it is to make it easier to keep records.

Neither. Like any intellingent person who wants to be careful with their
money, I shop around, check both out, and buy the best.>time one of your
characters

Well, Blade had to get a new cyber arm after having it ripped up by the
toxis spirit and landing on it after the fall, (which i figure he only
survived out of sheer luck and judicious use of karma) and just got out of
the hospital and is headed...I don't know where yet.

Change that to an assault rifle and not hitting anything (but causing a lot
of noise and looking really kewl) and I'd go with it. Course, I believe in
playing cinematic SR. Where if it's good for the story, even if you
couldn't normally do it, it's good for the game. Along with that goes doing
the neat acrobatics, standing up, showing your audience your perfect smile,
grabbing the lead female role, and then getting shot in the leg by an
opponent for comic effect :)

On some stuff I'm with ya Rob, on others I'm not, and on some, I'm confused.
But i think i get what you're saying, and I mostly agree. I think.
