Actually, the otaku are one of the most dubious things to come out of FASA
thus far. Anyone with any experience in neurobiology will tell you that
installing headware (datajacks et. al.) in growing children is a great way to
_really_ fuck them up because of plasticity problems. Also, even if we allow
the otaku, I still don't buy the "outstrip seasoned deckers" bit very far.
Certainly by looking at the otaku in VR 2.0, they aren't all that awesome, and
someone with high skill levels and good hardware on their side should still
kick their ass. Never forget that the human brain operates in the millisecond
regime, whereas computers operate in the _nanosecond_ regime. One _million_
times faster for switching speeds.
