Was this Dolph Lundgren and Brian Benben? Big humanoid alien OD'ing people
on heroin and sucking stuff out of their brains? (Always said "I come in
peace!") as he killed people. Major overkill pistol (a slightly dressed Calico
950, actually) that seemed to be somewhere between a flamethrower and a 155mm
howitzer? If so, it was released as "Dark Angel" in the UK.
