some rules for it, something along the lines of a couple of rituals,
failure at any step resulting in death, whatever. I was going to call it
"Ascension", but then I read some of the World of Darkness, Mage,
literature, and the Tir Na nOg sourcebook, both of which use the term. Then
I sort of forgot about it. That doesn't matter, in essence this message is
a supporting one. I think that a force three (or so) free spirit would make
a good character, because he would be so vulnerable to direct force
contests with other spirits and banishment (I always took that no
destruction by banishing rule to mean that the spirit could be banished,
but would go back to its metaplane to recover, just as if it had been
beaten to "death").
On another matter, as a past (reformed) nasty message sender, sometimes it
seems like certain things need to be said. I don't know about the style of
protest (I prefer sarcasm, as Easy's player no doubt remembers), but if we
are tolerant of overpowered characters, we should be tolerant of annoying,
arrogant, sarcastic, abrasive bastards as well. So I support both sides of
the recent conflict.
