Pardon? Do you have a source for either of those two assertions? A Free
Spirit with a Sorcery Skill should be fully entitled to Magic Pool, and the
only limitations on Force of spells it can cast are the limitations on what
spells it can research.

But of course, the Free Spirit with Sorcery doesn't _do_ direct Force to Force
tests that often. It uses its spells to avoid coming to grips, and is at
least as effective as a magician with spells of comparable power. Most likely
the City Spirit will be dead, in fact. By the way, a street punk does not have
his multiple Attributes and Spirit Powers boosted by Karma in nearly the same
fasion as Spirit Energy causes.

I certainly won't say that a Force 3 Free Spirit is unstoppable, but it's
certainly got _quite_ a bit of latitude, and if played as a reasonably
competent being can probably clean up in the not-too-long run. Let's leave it
like this: until Free Spirits become a problem, people can stand by whatever
they want. When and if the problems occur, we can start talking about
Sustained Damaging Manipulations and some of the more insidious uses of the
Powers listed in the rulebooks. =) I guarantee you that an average Force 6
Free Spirit with a reasonable assortment of powers can _demolish_ a 205x-era
mechanized infantry division.
