Subject: Poland Nuclear Power
Date: Mon, 9 Dec 1996 20:24:46 -0500
Basically, Poland is interested in developing larger scale nuclear power in
its nation to help its on-going mini-feud with the Russians.

Ergo, "state-sponsored".

However, none of the megacorps were willing to sign on to such a risky
venture ... they'd rather stay away and deal with the eventual winner.
(makes corporate sense).

Ergo, "non-corporate-affiliated".

What InfoScholar has learned is the identity of the private benefactor
who has funded the development of Poland large-scale nuclear development
and of one particular problem that the plants have .... waste disposal.

He has sold a potential short-term solution to the benefactor for a sizeable
chunk of nuyen.

Benefactor = Hector Otalvaro
Solution = JRS' Toxic Waste to Earth spell
***NOTE: The spell has extremely high drain to very limited effect, thus
it isn't a great solution. But it is more than what Otalvaro
had previously. And he's kinda good at developing more
efficient spells. :)

Now, as to how Azania ties in ... well, they already have nuclear power,
as they are about as modern as UCAS, Sal-Shid, Japan, etc etc. So Otalvaro
wouldn't have anything to sell them right?

Well, InfoScholar knows this but also knows that the tip he received
also tied Otalvaro to Azania, but in a less clear way.

And, InfoScholar doesn't know what Otalvaro has received in exchange for
his cash from Poland.

But he figures he could sell the tidbit to interested parties and then go on
his merry way.

Details like the location of the Poland plants, the nature (fission/fusion)
of the plants, Otalvaro's compensation, Otalvaro's relation to Azania,
etc etc will become available over plotd (or shadowtk, if appropriate)
after December 11. (need a couple days to finish my homework :) )

However, does what has been stated constitute enough to "establish/protect"
InfoScholar's rep?? ;)

Peace
Dave
