I do seem to have overlooked the part about the player leaving Dashira "wide
open to tracing", but that fact has little bearing on my point. What I'm
curious about is why people would _bother_ to trace someone who spouts off
random garbage on Shadowland. The Shadowland of the sourcebooks, upon which
this forum is (I believe) based, has all manner of inanities and ad hominems
going on in it, and the vast majority of the pros who read it simply ignore
the noise or at best deign to make amused comments.

What we have here is a collection of supposed pros who are letting their dander
be "gotten up" by random posters to the board, about whom they initially know
nothing, and are taking the whole thing like some sort of antiquated blood
feud.

If I was an "evil" entity with a bone to pick with a character known to
frequent Shadowland and I suspected I could lure them into a trap by having an
agent pose as an inflammatory, inexperienced kid, I'd be all over the
opportunity. What all this exploits is a certain over-proneness to acting on
emotion that pros, in my view, should avoid. But, that's just me. =)

If people want to keep on hounding the inane and the clueless and trying to
bring them to an early grave, I'll certainly say the characters have the right,
but I'll in turn reserve the right to foment some sort of retaliation if
the "atmosphere" of Shadowland starts feeling "unsafe" for the more
respectable clientele. =)
