|open to tracing", but that fact has little bearing on my point. What I'm
|curious about is why people would _bother_ to trace someone who spouts off
|random garbage on Shadowland. The Shadowland of the sourcebooks, upon which
|this forum is (I believe) based, has all manner of inanities and ad hominems
|going on in it, and the vast majority of the pros who read it simply ignore
|the noise or at best deign to make amused comments.
Read the entry on "The Grand Attraction" in the Seattle Sourcebook....
Someone gets killed because of a post they make there.....
|What we have here is a collection of supposed pros who are letting their dander
|be "gotten up" by random posters to the board, about whom they initially know
|nothing, and are taking the whole thing like some sort of antiquated blood
|feud.
He did hit a rather sensitive subject, and made some "sort of" allys at the
same time....
Good way to get a character involved in a plot if you ask me....
|If I was an "evil" entity with a bone to pick with a character known to
|frequent Shadowland and I suspected I could lure them into a trap by having an
|agent pose as an inflammatory, inexperienced kid, I'd be all over the
|opportunity. What all this exploits is a certain over-proneness to acting on
|emotion that pros, in my view, should avoid. But, that's just me. =)
Possibly I suppose.....
Possibly....
