Several reasons, and you've mentioned most of them below... Too tough
<grin> But I have considered a nuclear strike (of course no guara50
year old nukes) an orbital strike (problem getting there, or hacking in)
and just simply winding up all the major dragons and saying kill the
place (dragons don't co-operate that well) :) Of course, poison, gas,
bombs, disease, macrobiological infectants from some biological lab in
the desert might work, but then the risk is in infecting all of Seattle.
Nope, too boring. <grin>

Ahhh, but you assume that mages of sufficient power will be on call at
the precise time the bomb is dropped. Of course, being Haven, they
probably are :)

Ahhh, poor Seattle. The centre and highspot of Shadowrun. The most
alive city in the world..... What can there be left to do to the poor
place that it hasn't already experience? Ah, I know, how about.... but
no, I'll not tell you, I'll just let them land, erm.. arrive :)

I have had in the past, many arguments with other players regarding the
obvious favouritism shown to elven characters in all games. Dwarves in
Shadowrun do get a bum rap, I have to agree with you. In RPG's I prefer
Dwarven characters myself, but rarely do they have anywhere near the
abilities, and benefits of an elf. I can't say I hate elves, I merely
loathe them.

Neither am I, but I know a few who are, and Earthdawn started infesting
Shadowrun, so I decided to get a couple of the books, Elves in
Earthdawn, are even worse than Shadowrun. nasty little creatures are
infesting everything, and of course, they're responsible for saving
mankind, just like Shadowrun, just like everything else. God I'm so
sick of elves.

Sorry, but I get like this sometimes. :) Maybe that's why I like
Humanis characters... I get to kill elves :) Something I can't do in
real life. (Mainly because I've never met one.)
