If you write a long message, by the time you are done, the stuff you
want to delete is off the bottom of your screen and, if you are
like me at all (I recieve and respond to about 100 mail messages a
day) you are likely to realize that you are finished with your message
and you fingers will enact the "end mail message sequence" and your
message, quoted part, .sig and all, is gone. Like putting a letter
in the post box before you put the check inside. Its gone and allyou
can do is appolgize.

Disclaimer

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
