I don't know how many characters would care, but those that still have
shares in Sakura Industrial Robotics might notice that the company almost
scored another highly lucrative contract. Another replacement job, this
time they would have refitted the machinery in a myco-protein culture tank,
since it went haywire and messed up a whole batch. The original
manufacturer claimed it was sabotage, and agreed, eventually, to replace
the equipment at no cost, so SIR missed out on the contract. I suppose
their share prices might suffer a little, but they're still making money on
other (smaller) jobs.
