No, the 'grid' is an electrical system, plugged into city streets, to
both guide and power you. Theoretically, it is meant to supply
electrical commuter cars with the energy needed to cruise within (safe)
city regions.Don't ask /me/ how the power is transfered, I don't know -
there has been much discussion on that topic over in RN last year (uh -
I think).
I suppose a grid would offer traffic info, and a basic navigation
system that links with an autopilot, and would strech on most mayor
roads in areas rated "B" or better...
