Which campaign? Which race? Since I don't have any campaigns, the
essential details would be helpful.

I myself was curious if the _ShadowRun Companion: Beyond the Shadows_
metahuman Variants were accepted fully now? There was mention of Dryads
in the Paranormals thread.

For those unfamiliar, they included:

Cyclops (Medeterranian one-eyed Trolls),
Koborokuru (Japanese Dwarves),
Fomori (Celtic Trolls),
Menehune (Hawaiian Dwarves),
Hobgoblins (Middle Eastern Orks),
Giants (Nordic Trolls),
Gnomes (Central European Dwarves),
Oni (Japanese Orks),
Wakyambi (African Elves),
Ogres (European Orks),
Minotaurs (Mediterranean Trolls),
Satyrs (Mediterranean Orks) and not to be confused with the Wild Satyrs
of the Paranormal Animals of Europe,
The Night Ones (European "Dark" Elves),
and Dryads ("Nature" Elves).

They have slightly different stats than their base metatypes usually a
little more for the better than worse, and they get a wonderful little
immediate "Hostile" reaction from all first contacts since they are so
rare they are basically considered freaks, even among most metahumans.

I have even gotten special permision from the list to use a race not even
in the cannon. I had an interesting idea for a Changeling character, and
thought FASA quite remiss in not actually creating one. So, after
explaining roughly what I had in mind (and in fact you will be hearing a
_lot_ more about it rather soon) and promising that I wouldn't let it get
out of hand (namely that you could put the entire world population of
Changelings in one room, keeping their abilities within reason, as well as
having some seriously _nasty_ drawbacks to their species), consensus was
that it would be okay. And, almost needless to say, that if people were
to find out that there exist a being that inherently shapeshift into
nearly any other human form (even if that form is limited to, for my
creation, one dictated by the desires of another) reaction on the most
part would be more than just "hostile."

So, brief us on what you're thinking and there probably won't be much
problem.
