I think we need to allow the Companion Races -- it _is_
canon, even if it is _optional_ canon. It will make it
easier for new list-members to integrate with the list if
they know what's allowed. Simply saying: "The things in
the books." is the easy way to do that. Of course, with
the caveat that we are slow to incorporate new books to
give everyone who is going to a chance to pick up the book.
