That the girls were kidnapped is public knowledge. That would have been
broadcast on the trid. The recovery of the girls alive would be almost
impossible to prevent escaping to the media. The parents and friends,
who would have been interviewed about the situation will be way to happy
and relieved for it to remain a secret. So...

It's OK, the FDS <tm> will not come and stomp on Azrael. He's not
using any knowledge that would be construed as "player knowledge", so
the game police would also stay away from your door.

The only parts of the case that are kept under wraps, is the location
they were kept in, and the people recovered along with them. Also, the
weapon used is kept relatively quiet. Most of the other details are
pretty much media history.

This is the first "public" acknowledgement that Haze is responsible.
The FBI and SIGA know about it, but that's all. Who, has been kept
pretty quiet.
