There's some stuff in the LoneStar sourcebook about this... rumours of
virtual prisons with time compression sort of thing so the prisoner can
serve his or her sentence then be out on the street that afternoon. And
there was some other stuff about psychological techniques that prevent a
convict from even thinking about violence, even in self defence...
Clockwork Orange sort of thing.
