Brian --

I think you and I have been over this road before, but a vampire
doesn't perceive time like a human does. Especially as the years start
to pass it by and his body doesn't age. His mentality changes as he
adapts to his "new" life and he gets jaded to certain things, but his
body is still young and vital. (And depending on your view of
vampires, getting stronger and faster, etc.)

I don't think it would be all that hard for a vampiric doctor to get
distracted by something for a year and then look up and say, "Wait, I
thought it was only 2058?"

(Of course, that is my own opinion about vampires. And yes, most of my
characters still fear AJ based on what he is -- despite the fact of who
he was, when he was human. A vampire is a predator that is higher on
the food chain than humans. To not fear a vampire on some level,
despite all best intentions is foolish. Instinct will dictate that,
although some people have managed to override their instinct for short
periods of time.)

Later,
Mike

PS. My primary pet hate about Shadowrun is: Over reliance on magic in
a cyberpunk genre -- magic is a nice compliment, but there still should
be cyberpunk present or you miss a major part of Shadowrun.

I have some concerns over trends on the list, but hate is way too
strong of a word for _that_.
