Well, Haven has a really high background count and magic is a lot easier to
do actually _on_ the equinox. I seem to recall telling people that all the
permanent faculty are magically active and members of Valentine's magical
group. Well, there's a reason they don't actually hold the Haven parties
on the actual dates - they're all too busy working on rituals.

The party could certainly take place there, but the partiers would have to
limit themselves to outside the actual grounds of the main building - there
is a park next to the main building, though, which would be fine.
