amit, I can sympathize with Erik....I had just come offa HUGE passel
of fights, I & OOC, on various White Wolf boards. Playing mediator
is NO fun! So, I WAS a bit harsh. Wolf raised his grizzled head...he
_does_ that, sometimes...and MAN, did he HOWL! *grimace*
But, damn it! I was mad! *sigh* I'm sorry that ya all jumped on Pete,
for that one post...I meant it as an example of what I was finding
objectionable, not the sole SOURCE of all which is base, dark and evil! *G*
There were other posts, when I first signed back on...but, I can't
remember who wrote them, or what their titles were. So THEY were
spared my horrible wrath!
Pete, don't give up the ship. I think yer a talented writer! I understand
what it means to have someone screw yer plotlines all to hell & back!
BELIEVE me! I had already planned to tag my posts...most of which are
going to be a bit controversial...though maybe not to THIS extent. I had
planned on making the suggestion. But great minds think alike, I
s'pose (scarey thought, huh!?! =)~ And, several others beat me to the
punch.
I wasn't supporting censorship, by ANY stretch of the imagination--I, for
one, am an artist & writer of erotic gothic/dark fantasy. I don't wish to
stifle ANYONE's freedom of expression. But, at least give fair warning.
Give each and every person here the opportunity to make an informed
and responsible descision. I don't think that too much to ask. Obviously,
neither do a lotta others hangin around here. *S*
Please, continue with the plot...all the original posts. Just tag 'em...
simple as that.
Yer appology IS accepted...I hope ya find it graciously so. As a parent,
ya could well see my POV. I s'pose, had I written posts that illicited
such a strong reaction, I'd take it a compliment, as well. I can
understand why ya would. I don't hold it against ya.
As for Erik's admonitions that I remain. I must say--I was pleasantly
suprised that ya remember me with such fondness--given our characters'
history of mutual abuse! *G* Yes! I DO intend to stay...indeed, how CAN
ya fix it if ya don't know it's broke? And, believe me..I'll usually be
the first
ta tell ya! *G*
Sascha...in case ya didn't notice--I wasn't _around_ at the time Paul was
discussing the Yemen war. Had I been, and had I found the contents of
THAT discussion just as offensive...DAMN STRAIGHT, I woulda said
something! And as for guilting us into rethinking our manner of tt gaming:
Not gonna work, here! I've personally gamed with enough people on this
list...now, and in the past...to know that most of us DON'T run around
lobbing grenades into crowds or kicking it open on full auto! Because
we--and, our characters--have thought out the reprecussions of taking
such actions...morally, ethically and karmicly. Sorry if the people you
run with don't have that kinda maturity or common sense. Save your
speeches for them...not for the majority of the people on this board.
And, I get JUST as upset over the subject of abortion....it's still the
butchering of innocents. If ya can't understand that..I think ya need ta
step back and take a LONG, HARD look at your views on life. Yours
and others
One more point, resevered for last because I can't find the post it was
contained in, or even who wrote it! GAH! Regardless...someone
actually attacked the "maturity" of people who were offended enough
by such attrocities to ask they they not be subjected to such a graphic
description of them! PLEASE! Before ya start questioning the maturity of
people willing to stand up for what they believe, ya might want to take a
good look at the lack of maturity it took to SLAM a person for holding
such moral & ethical beliefs!
This has been MY rant for today! ( at least till I pick thru the REST of
my mail! *G* ;)
