You're not alone. Both the Pueblo Corporate Council and the CAS are
engaged in a bit of a cold war with Aztlan and CalFree seems to live in
terror of them. Heck, the stuff from the Big D's will alone probably
scared more than a few folks away from the Azzies (blood magic? And they
do it?!).

So yeah, the Azzies are still the big scary monster living under the bed of
Shadowrun and are likely to be for a while.

As a side note, it's been stated by FASA that the CAS actually got more of
the US military in the split from the UCAS. And most of that is pointed at
the Azzies. And further, that the Stonewall LAV is, per Mike Mulvihill and
Jon Setzo, is nothing more than a sham perpetrated by the CAS intelligence
agencies. Just a couple of FYIs, FWTW.
