Sorry for the delay in replying...
Actually, the casino heist was inspired by Michael Mann's "Heat". Don't
worry about _evading_ the police, outgun and outshoot the beat cops who
respond; and break contact by the time the Heavy Mob (SWAT teams et al)
arrive.
Lynch was always a believer in "don't fuck about trying not to be
detected. Assume they detect you crossing the perimeter. So deal with
the on-site security, get what you came for, and be gone and out of
hot-pursuit range before the on-site team recover or the backup
arrives." Not _exactly_ shadowy, but with the assumption that raiding
teams will prefer stealth to speed it was effective.
