Hi all!

Can Mr. Black "organize" Cyberware. For instance, Hand Razors are by
card text a weapon, but I canīt see a Fixer getting you Cyberware
which
he or you would be able to implant.

Felix

Mr Black only organises cards that are WEAPONS or AMMO in theif
official Gear description. Once again this is a question of semantics
and rules formalism, in the SR TCG do not look at what the card does
but what its official description is.
Also technically speaking, I don't think Mr Black would play around
with icky stuff like Cygear, different field of
operation...................

Weapons and Armor. Mr B. actually can't handle Ammo - or laser sights,
gyromounts, or smartgun links. I think amending Mr. B. to Gear, Armor
and Accessories is pretty cool, but the card can be kind of problematic.

If I use Mr. B. to deploy a Streetline Special, do I have to pay 1Y?
(The Special normally costs 0Y, but Mr. B's text reads "minimum of
1Y".) Even then, the Streetline Special works well with Mr. B -- you
can drop that for a low cost and hunt in your deck for something with
more punch.

Can I use Mr. B. and Shellshock to reduce the cost of a heavy weapon by
two? If I use the Talismonger - Mr. B's half-sister - and Scatter's
ability to deploy the same spirit, do I lower the Spirit's cost and then
halve, or halve the cost and then reduce it by 1Y?

Incidentally - to get back to the initial question - I don't see why Mr.
B. wouldn't go after the Handrazors -- technically, they are
Gear.Cyberware.Weapon cards, after all.

Because Mr. B. only handles Gear.Weapon and Gear.Armor, not
Gear.Cyberware.
The Gear.Cyberware.Weapon is a type of Cyberware. If Mr. B. just said
Weapon and Armor cards, then I say Cyberware.Weapon count.

If you want to read reallly strictly, by the card, Mr. Black doesn't function at all -- he
only pulls up Gear/Weapon cards, and there are *no* Gear/Weapon cards in the game.

Just Gear (Weapon) cards. In fact, there really aren't Gear (Weapon) cards either -- just
Gear (Ranged Weapon) and Gear (Hand-to-Hand Weapon) cards.

Rather obviously, Gear/Weapon is an abbreviation for a card that has both Gear and Weapon
somewhere in its key type. Handrazors fits this description. (At least, that's the logic
I follow.) Similarly, Razorback's ability to trash Personnel Challenges affects Knight
Errant Guards (Personnel) and Lone Star Personnel (Street/Personnel/Vehicle) equally well.

That being said, I could see Mr. Black being amended to reading Weapon and Armor (and, if
by fate Mike and Jim agree with me, Accessories) instead of Gear/foo; most of the other
cards which reference key text simply refer to the subtype (Scarecrow trashes Spells, not
Gear/Spells; the Excalibur deploys Programs, not Gear/Programs, and so on.)

OK, another question of semantics. Hunting Gargoyle trashes hand-to-hand
weapons. Obviously this includes katanas. Does it include wrist razors,
or are the razors cyberware and not weapons?

Food for thought.

Katana = Gear (Hand-to-Hand Weapon)
Hand Razors = Gear (Cyberware/Weapon)

Hand Razors are both Cyberware and Weapons, but are not keyed as
Hand-to-Hand Weapons.
