Subject: Alright! 3 rares or 2 in a deck?!?!

I went out and purchased a deck. I then catalogued all the cards in the
deck, and found only TWO rares. They were right after the fixed objectives,
and were followed by a few common cards. So did I get a bum pack or what?
Are people SURE there is 3 rares to a deck? I intend to spend about $50
after I here to awnser, so I REALLY need good info. Thanks!!!

I have gotten 4 sets and all 4 had three rares in them. A friend
got two sets both with 3 rares. However, another friend got one with
only two rares. So I guess that makes it 6/7 with a disclaimer about
Astral Sentry. (I also posted something along this line under the Astral
Sentry thread.)

I'm pretty certain on the 3 rares to a Starter Deck. The three I've
purchased all followed this. It's also what I was told by Mike
Mulvihill and Skuzzy when asking on the ratios for Starters and
Boosters at Gen Con.

Must be you just got a bad mix in that deck.

If you're looking at spending $50, I'd still go for Starters as
several people on the list have reported getting 18 Uncommons plus the
3 rares in a deck. (As opposed to 3 rares and 12 uncommons in boosters
for the same $9.)

I too only got two rares in my starter, so that's why I'm sticking with
boosters for now...

After being "straighted out" by this list regarding decks and boosters,
I went out and bought some starter decks. Half of these starters had only
TWO rares and not three. If this is a consistent phenomena, I'll be back
on the booster bandwagon just like *that*... :-)

The first two starters I bought only had two rares!! (although one does
have Astral Sentry the rarity of which Loki is trying to verify).

I've just finished going though my third starter and have found 4 rares!!!
Woohoo!! They are Dirk Montgomery, Matrix Crash, Armor-piercing Ammo and
Bullet Barrier...

me too, different cards, but 4 starters

but only 16 uncommons
