"Happy New Year!!!" *display of fireworks*
Text: "Runners may not perform a run. They may only visit any bar or club
related location, including rocker's hang-outs, this turn. Runners with
social skills must pay 1¥ per level (partying) while runners inflicted with
'anti-social' must roll D6, subtracting 1 per level. On a roll of 1 or
less, trash this runner."
Picture: Numerous races intermingling and partying as confetti rains upon
them while fireworks light up the night skies. The ageless Dick Clark is
on the trid.
Flavor: "Happy New Year!!! *sound of horns* Happy New Y--urp....."

While I run out of space for the text, I hope the assumption this is a one
day event is presumed.

As always, comments and criticism appreciated. The first round of event
cards I'll post soon.

Definitely cool. I assume you've been holding this one, waiting for "just
the right moment?" Hey, that gives me an idea:

"Just the Right Moment"
Text: This event lasts for one round only. During each player's draw phase,
that player may either take his/her normal draw, OR randomly trash two cards
from their hand, draw a card, then search his/her draw pile for ONE Special
(Stinger) card, reveal the Stinger symbol to his/her opponents, and add it to
his/her hand, shuffling the draw pile afterwards.
Picture: One runner peeking over the top of a parked car that's riddled with
bullet holes while a few other runners "swoop" in (in some fashion) and clean
up the opposition.
Flavor: "It's about time! I though you guys would NEVER show!"

Okay, it may not be the greatest, but I honestly did JUST think of it. The
benifit of searching for that potentially game-saving stinger is balanced by
the fact that they're not gaining a card, as well as the risk of losing
something good you already have in your hand. (I've already made one
revision, which you obviously can't see. At first, I was going to have the
player shuffle their hand back into the draw pile, draw a new hand of one
fewer card than they'd been holding, and then search for the stinger, but
realized that was just too powerful for someone who's holding a lot of crap
they can't use.)
Anyway, as Axl would say, comments and criticism appreciated.

Laterz,
Michael
