Not being a diehard Magic nor a diehard Shadowrunner card player, it seems
from my perspective in my respected area of the world that these types of
card games in general are on the decline. With Magic being one of the most
popular it seems, if this game is on the decline to bring in new players,
chances are other card games are experiencing a similar fate. Though
drawing a conclusion on one game for all others is weak, from what I have
seen with the Limited Edition Shadowrun selling in my area with the number
of stores then compare it to how Underworld seemed to have fizzled, _I_
would be hard pressed to say collectable card games in general are booming.

Also, it would seem that the last few years, Magic was pumping out
expansion upon expansion - every other time I visited a store there was a
new whatever there. Now it seems far and few between. With Corp War
delayed, could the wait hurt in the long run? How many casual players of
Shadowrun might drop the game from lack of expansion sets - even weak ones?
Or like a chain-reaction, a person turned off from Magic might classify
all collectable card games in the same boat, thus swearing off the whole?
Diehard players will find new ways to create decks with limited cards, but
what about the rest of the players of a game? Without an influx of new
cards to keep the interest, in time it seems a game will die off.

My prediction for the future of this card game is Corp Wars might make or
break the whole Shadowrun card game. Strong sales should prompt further
expansions. But extended delays and/or weak sales might kill the game in
the end.

Of course this is only my views at the moment (and after casually glancing
through 200+ e-mails too...)
