GridSec at SRCard.
Tony Glinka and Matb have both accepted the position and been
deputized into the rank of SRCard Gridsecs.
Their responsibility will be to help the list admin's in policing and
coaching posting issues: Reply-To field overrides, subject lines not
following thread changes, personal posts/trades going public, heading
off card price lists, stamping out flames, extended OT threads,
snipping and quoting in posts... you know, general posting netiquette
as laid out in the FAQ.
While I must admit the past few days haven't shown any specific
issues. The last two or three weeks were presenting a marked increase
in posting problems. Plus, with the upcoming SRTCG expansions about to
hit the shelves I expect another influx of newbies and thus some areas
for coaching.
Luckily, my recent change in jobs has granted me more direct access to
the 'Net during the day, and I've been able to be more active and
accessible on SRCard. Still, I'm kept busy between work, study,
family, and regular gaming. Add to this the fact that I don't like
looking as if I'm the only authority figure here to crack down on
posting issues and mis-steps. Basically, I want to gain a little help
and to spread the list responsibility just a little bit. :o)
I personally chose Matb and Tony for GridSecs as they're two of the
more active and visible listmembers. They're great contributors and
well-liked by pretty much everyone. I'm going to appreciate their help
in keeping SRCard a smooth flowing and pleasant forum for the exchange
of trade lists and SRTCG discussion. Give them the same respect you
would the existing three members of the list admin (Fearless Leader,
Assistant Fearless Leader, FAQ Flunky).
