I do not get those attachments. Perhaps your mail system can not handle
some types of formatting?

If your mailer handles HTML or RTF (for example MS Outlook), then you probably
just see the formatting within the actual message.

However, there are several people who use straight text based mailers and in
that case a duplicate message with all the HTML or RTF formatting code is put
as an attachment to the mail.

The point is, the list's FAQ and posting guidlelines have requested that
SRCard members post in plain text from day one. It's common netiquette for
such a mailing list, and there are some people who may be pulling mail at
school or work that could get in trouble for an unintentional download from
such a message.
