Could you please give me a clear example of combat between deckers using
programs to inflict damage? Specifically, 1. When can it take place? I am
assuming only during a Shadowrun but I want to know for sure. Your help in
this is appreciated.

deckers can attack one another through the matrix at any time
they just naad the program and thet are set
any program can be turned at any time (excepy 4 sticky fingers-which says so
on the card)

Okay: There are two Matrix Programs (Hog and Black Hammer) which allow
a Decker to attack another Decker. (You can also use Bar Fight, which
is *really really handy* when you've got Tiny and your opponent has
FastJack.

Hog kills a program off the loser; Black Hammer does real damage. Like
any program, these can be turned at any time to start combat. (Two
programs don't quite fit this shoe: Sticky Fingers specifically reads to
turn during owner's Legwork; Armor Skin sounds as if it should be a
constant ability, like wearing a gun or armor. This is supported by the
fact that Gear is declared before combat).

So, you can activate a Program during a shadowrun to attack a Decker.
I'm assuming this is being defensively? (I can't think of an offensive
team doing this, since it puts the Decker at further risk.)

Thanks for clarification on Decker combat. I am a Netrunner player also and I
enjoy the Deckers and programs in SRTCG. Now I can build an effective deck
with Deckers.... PHIL EDWARDS
