Runner/Player is visiting a location/using a contact and before
the roll, the player uses Loaded Dice and announces that the
modification is going to be +1.
The die roll is 6, makeing the value 7.
Now, for Locations/Contacts that do not have 6+ (only the
results of a value of 6), does the effect for the value of 6
still happen?

Example:
Player is going to use Mr. Johnson.
Player rolls a 6, modified to +1 by Loaded Dice.

Does the player get to pull a runner from their deck and
deploy that runner? Or is there just no effect?

I haven't seen an official FAQ comment on this one, but our little group has always said
that unless a card specifically addresses rolls of less than 1 or greater than 6, then the
roll just defaults to the highest/lowest number. If you roll a -2, it still counts as a
1, and if you roll an 8 or something, it defaults to a 6. Keep in mind, some cards DO
specifically address the greater than 6 issue (most notable Widow's Trap, ewwww...).

Per the RBT, D6 rolls cannot be modified to less than 1.

That's pretty much the way I've always played.

Well, the whole reason I asked in the first place is *because* there
_are_ cards that specifically address rolls/values above 6. If the
designers wanted values of 7+ to count as 6 on cards like Mr. Johnson,
why didn't they specify 6+ on the card?
Because there are 2 different types (6 and 6+), my thoughts are that
rolls of 7+ on cards that only specify a 6 mean 'no effect' or 'nothing
at all happens'.
Perhaps this should be put to the Rules Team?

I suspect we'll see most of the mischievous cards erratta'd in Second Run. Keep in mind
that, at the moment, there are really only two cards which modify die rolls (Loaded Dice
and LWF - Macabre doesn't quite count) and that in the majority (5/6) of the cases, even
with their use, you'll end up with a 'normal' result. Why a player should be punished,
for instance, for tossing a Loaded Dice at Mr. Johnson (already a problematic card) is
beyond me. Yeah, life's tough, but not *that* tough.
