Skuzzy we telling me at GC that in preproduction False Mentor wasn't
Unique and only cost 4 nuyen to put out. They quickly changed that
when they saw what having four in a deck was doing to the game. :o)

What were they smoking beforehand? :-)

I looked at that card and, even at 6 nuyen and unique, I realized that
it was a MUST HAVE card in any competitive deck. At non-unique and at
4 nuyen, I'm quite sure it was dominating the heck out of games...

I'm of the opinion that False Mentor should be a banned card from any
tournament play until FASA puts in a card that neutralizes special
cards 100% of the time. 50% "counterspell-like" cards (Luck of the Irish)
just don't cut it against cards like False Mentor.
