I asked Jim about the possibility of any more promo's showing up in
the Underworld boosters. Here's what I got back.

Also, he asked a question about how much 2nd Run I thought I'd be
buying. It sounded like a good question to pass on to the rest of you
for some feedback.

of it. Have you heard of any other promo's accidently getting slipped
into the boxes? Just wondering if it's worth picking up a few more
booster's on the off chance I get King of the Kill or Skills to pay
the Bills w/o having to wait for it. ;o)>>>

Wow! That sounds like a sorting glitch. It's certainly possible that
he got a
Gen. Lab in a booster, but it's not likely to happen often. While I
certainly
won't discourage you from buying additional boosters (evil grin), the
chances
of you getting a promo card in one are very slim (we haven't seen one
in any
of the boxes we've opened.) I'd say you're better off waiting.

Just out of curiosity, do you intend to buy any Second Run cards? Have
you
given any thought to how many? I hope a question like this isn't off
putting, I'm just looking for a little feedback. Second printings of
CCGs are strange animals… some people snap them up and others seem not
to care at all. Any feedback I can get on this will help…

Have a good week…

First of all I'd like to know what will be the difference between the
1st and 2nd run, will there be any more/less cards, different wording,
different art, what? Second, yes, it is highly probable that I'll buy
some cards from the 2nd run, especially if there are differences in the
art section.

My input:

I am planning on buying some Second Run cards to complete a set, and was
curious as to how they would be released and that. Will it be possible
to buy a set of the revised cards? (Doubtful, I know) Or do we have to
try to find them in with all the rest? How many
rares/uncommons/commons/promos are there in the revision? All these
things would make a big difference.

out
ones that nobody uses--how about replacing the remington 750 with something else)? IMHO
the more new cards that are rotated in, the better chance of me buying lots of it.

Since a number of us on the list actually try to collect the entire set, there should be
a way of differentiating the first run from the second. Perhaps the border color will
be different. Perhaps the pictures will no longer have that jagged edge on one side.
Something would need to be done to differentiate the cards in a clear way.

Finally, if the card sorting problem has been clearly cleaned up, I would be tempted to
buy a couple of boxes. Perhaps in the 2nd printing, we could go with a decrease in the
number of rares in the set (thus making it easier to collect).

Just my 2 cents worth.

Well, I picked up roughly 5 boosters and 3 Starters of Limited and 5 boosters
of Underworld. Right know I'm leaning towards 3 and 3 for second run.
However, I might wait until a card list comes out for 2nd run before I
place an order for it. I wouldn't mind picking up extra doubles of certain
cards, but if those cards have been taken out of 2nd Run I might not pick up
as many cards...

I believe it has been mentioned previously that the copyright notice will
be preceded by a "2", sort of like Underworld copyrights are preceded by a
"U".

I like lots of different Gear in a game, even if its function is a
duplicate of another, or if it´s too weak to use. This makes a more
realistic and complete game setting. ---Felix

Well, if you're compiling a list of responses to send to him, you can
tell him I'll be trying for a full set. -When- it gets to Australia that
is (my local gaming store told me they're not getting Underworld in till
later this week... *sigh*)

Well, probably like alot of people I know, I say I wont buy many cards
and I'll tell my wife I wont, but I'll probably buy 20-30$ worth every time
I stop in a comic book store or hobby shop and end up with a doubles like my
first set.
In all likely hold, I'll probably just try to collect the new cards and
horde the ones that got canned....

PS I Have 81 Jack hammers, 75 Grandfather bones, etc....can anyone beat
that? :)

Peace,

I plan on buying at least a box. I'd like to make sure I've got all the
new cards and artwork for the collection binder, and since both my wife and
I play I am 'very' short on several of the nicer cards just for playing
purposes (She gets 'all' the good decking gear <g>). Once I heard that
second run was coming, and had finished my collection, I pretty much quit
buying as I figured I would get a lot of the 'extras' when I bought second
run.
