I know it's a bit early but who on the list plans on being at gencon?? If
we get a big turn out maybe we can get some games in between other game
sessions.

So, has anyone else gotten their GenCon Book? I think it bites that the
SRTCG Tourney is in the same time slot as the Earthdawn Tourney, you would
think that FASA would arrange all of their tourneys in different time slots
and it looks like all of them pretty much start thur or fri... Also, it says
that the event is sealed deck and the cost is free??? What's with this? free
cards? Any comments?

Peace,

Probably itīs just that thereīs no fee to participate in that tourney,
but you pay for the cards - possibly with an option to keep them or not.

I have yet to get my GenCon book in the mail (hopefully it came today).
However, I know that I'm far more interested in playing Earthdawn then
playing a sealed deck SRTCG tourney. I'm glad it was not an open deck
tourney or I would be agonizing over my decision for quite some time. ;)

Oh well, atleast I'll probably be able to play in the list's tourney...

Well, for all those interested, the GenCon book is on the net at
www.AndonUnlimited.com

Also, There is also a constructed deck tourney except I think it's at 5:00pm
Friday which conflicts with the Deadlands Tourney. I guess it's either CCG's
or RPG's....

Well I got both of my pre-reg books (Gen Con appears to believe that I
have two last names) on Thursday so I brought them into work today.

The times for the Shadowrun TCG Tournaments are as follows:

Thursday:
12:00 PM Sealed Deck Qualifier
(#986 - 32 slots - FREE entry)
Interesting that the entry free is free and that the description
says "Run the shadows of the Sixth WOrld in this sealed deck
tournament. Cards provided. Winners advance to semi-finals
on Friday at noon. Sponsor: FASA Corp."

Sounds like you get the cards from FASA for free... :)

5:00 PM Constructed Tournament Qualifier
(#989 - 32 slots - $2.50 entry)
I find it funny that it's free to use FASA's cards, but it is not
free to use your own. ;) Personally I think it is worth it. Once
again the winners advance to semi-finals on Friday at 5:00 PM.

Friday:
12:00 PM Semifinals for Sealed Deck

5:00 PM Semifinals for Constructed Tournament

9:00 PM Sealed Deck Multi-Player Qualifier
(#992 - 64 slots - $2.50 entry)
Once again it says "Cards provided." Winners advance to finals on
Saturday at 5:00 PM.

Saturday:
10:00 AM Constructed Deck Multi-Player Qualifier
(#994 - 64 slots - $2.50 entry)
Winners advance to Finals at 9:00 PM Saturday.

2:00 PM Sealed Deck Final Round

5:00 PM Sealed Deck Multi-Player Final Round

7:00 PM Constructed Deck Final Round

9:00 PM Constructed Deck Multi-Player Final Round

For the list members in the Chicago area:

I also recieved some information from the Chicago Comicon about
their CCG Tournaments. There is currently scheduled to be a
Shadowrun TCG Constructed Deck Tournament from 11:00 AM to
3:30 PM on Saturday. The Tournament is sceduled for 32 seats
with a double elimination format. However, they changed a bunch
of the tourney formats last year at the last moment so i wouldn't
count on that being the final format.

Fill us in, what's the skinny on Shadowrun TCG?

Also, did anyone get an answer for Uncle Joe? ;-)

Cheers,
