HIya,

No we have not had any problems with mis-cuts.. just sorting. We just
bought another 2 starters and opened them in the store. Not only did
both starters have 90% the EXACT same cards, they were 100% in the EXACT
same order... the only differences between the 2 were the rares and 3
uncommons....

This is not an isolated incident, it has happened to a few friends as
well... and the same thing occurs in boosters.... 12 cards are
identical, even to the extreme of location within the booster and the
only difference is the rare and uncommons.... that is very sad... as in
lame.

If you only got 3 uncommons in a starter, you've got worse problems
than bad sort. Starters are supposed to have *18* uncommons.

No no, sorry ... that may not have come out correctly.... let me
re-phrase that.

The only difference between the 2 starters was 2 rares and 3
uncommons, all the other rares and uncommons, and commons were
identical and in exactly the same slots in the starter decks... that
cannot be an accident....

I just opened a box of starters and a box of boosters last night and had a
similar experience. I opened the starters first so if there was a pattern
there I didn't pick up on it. However, out of the 31 rares (2 of the
starters had 2 rares and 1 extra uncommon, 3 had 4 rares and 1 less uc) 4
of them were duplicated (for a total of 8). I guess it's a common problem
with distribution where they don't anticipate that people might buy things
a box at a time.

The boosters though were really disappointing. I didn't find any that
matched card for card, but I did see that sequences of cards seemed to go
together. Such that 90% of the time an Elvish Hitman would be followed by
a Chipjack1 which was followed by a Luck o' the Irish, etc...(these aren't
the exact combos, but you get the point). The biggest disappoint though
was 9 of the 36 boosters had duplicate commons within the booster. Such
that there was c1 c2 c3 c4 c5 c6 c1 c2 c3 c4 u1 u2 u3 u4 r1 (rarity/card
number). So while everything balanced out based on the number of cards
that I bought (gotta love wholesale :-) ) if I had been buying a single
pack or two I would have been REALLY ah... "upset" shall we say ;-)

Just my $0.02

I also have found this true also. But I have been fortunate to notice
an extra piece of this sorting problem. I live in the Detroit area
and there are 6 stores that I can goto and buy cards. In my first
purchase of SRTCG I bought 6 starters and 6 boosters from "Alcove". I
noticed that there were alot of similar cards and order. I have since
purchased 4 starters from "The Gamers' Inn" and two more from
"Alcove". I noticed that in the 4 starters I got from "Gamers'" two
of them were almost the same, and the other 2 from "Gamers'" had
similar commons. There were very few duplicate cards in the cards
form "Gamers'" vs. "Alcove". I will try to pick up 2 or 3 starters or
boosters from each store and let you know any further info, and I will
find out if they use the same distributer.

Maybe the sorting problem is if based on the box or maybe the store's
supplier.

One other thing I failed to mention about the starters I bought. In
the cards I bought from "The Gamers' Inn" the Objectives were in the
back of the box opposite the rule book. The starters from "Alcove"
were kinda in the middle of the box.

Well, ditto that thought. *Grumble* I tend to get a lot of "double
rares" - the same box of boosters will have two or three of the same
rare, across boosters.

At least it makes for good trade fodder..
