I wrote FASA concerning if you could use indirect fire weapons as part
of intercepting a run. And the reply.....

[from FASA]
Indirect Fire can only be used to assist a shadowrun and intercepting
another
team is not considered shadowrun. Cool idea though. Maybe it'll be a
card
down the road...
[end]

this also means things like Bad Lunch do not effect you if you are
intercepting.

The question is, to be or not to be ? Just kidding.

When using indirect fire, do you have to state that Flatline

using a Ranger Arms SM-3 will be going on a Shadowrun with other

runners when the Shadowrun is announced?

I know that you don't have to turn him until you use

indirect fire.

When can you use deckers programs like crash ( which crashes

all electrical challenges on an objective )?

I've always allowed Indirect Fire (and Sniper Roost) to be used as
"stingers" -- you can activate them at any time during a shadowrun,
assuming the team isn't full.

Given that Indirect Fire assists with all the Challenges faced in a
shadowrun, however, the sooner you turn, the better.

Note that Runners assisting a shadowrun (including Indirect Fire, Sniper
Roost, Deckers, et al) can't achieve Objectives.

Programs can be used at any time (unless specified by the card). It
makes sense, obviously, to use Crash before a Run but, if for some
reason, you want to do it on another player's turn, or during your run
before you achieve the Objective, you go.

I usually play it as a modified Steamroller (that is, you declare a
shadowrun, then activate the Steamroller to use against all those
objectives), but by the card text, you can use it against any Objective
(revealed or not?) in play.

My my, how confusing. First few times I saw this my brain insisted that
it was my name, just typed wrong. :)

(Kind of sad, when 'Jestyr' is more familiar to me than 'Eleanor' :)
