here is a trick ?
if you can play lone star drone on a lone star runner. would
the drones threat rating take the place of the lone star runners.
or does it act like a sperate runner for combat.

lone star runner"go get them boy" and starts shooting.

Nope, the Lone Star runner would treat the Lone Star Drone exactly like any
rigger would treat their drones. Either the drone fights or the runner does.
If the drone fights, damage can still be assigned to, but not from/by the
runner.
