Actually, How I thought up of the card was :
1) I wanted a card that made runners into prime runners. It's more powerful
than in the spotlight that the runner now needs upkeep. Problem : what about
the runners already in play. (This is how I got the name 'Delusions of
Granduer', the runner believes himself to be more powerful and unique - even
if he's not....)

2) To solve the problem in part 1, I added the 'trash all runners of the
same copy' and bumped up the deployment to 7Y from 4Y.

The card was meant to get rid of the few most irritating and useful runners
around : Stomper, Louie da'Bruiser & Trash(I can't really think of any deck
without any of these). Also now playing it on your OWN runner can be an
advantage as you can choose when the runner dies by not upkeeping it. Note :
However it is countered by Copycat Syndrome and affected by all cards that
hurt PRs So maybe I'll lower the deployment to 6Y....

FASA shows a trend in their thinking around cards that trash runners.
Most specials that trash a card require the player to pay a cost equal
to the deployment of the target runner. This makes sense, as it sets
you back about the same amount as your opponent, who got some prior use
out of the runner but looses gear.

Along those lines of thinking, the above card is over-powered,
particularly if you think of real scenarios. The most likely candidate
of the above card is Stomper types and Thrash/Glitz. For a cost fo 7,
you would eliminate up to four of your opponent's runners, PER OPPONENT!
So, if one player has three Thrash, and the other four, you would trash
7 cards!!! Another example: a Bruiser deck has 3 Stompers, each with
Dermal Plating and Katana. For a cost of 7 you could absolutely
decimate this opponent, taking away almost 40 Nuyen in cards!

Suggestions:
- Change text to be : "There may be only one copy of target runner per
player. Trash all other copies of TR in play. TR now is a Prime Runner
with an upkeep of 1Y." Keep cost the same.

-If you really want to keep it down to one player, simply add the
following: "Can only take effect if no player has more than two copies
of TR in play." to what you had originally. For further limitation,
make the card Unique.

I do really like your original idea, and please keep the ideas coming.
IMHO, as written the card can have too great an effect, even though most
of the time it is well balanced. The tough part to writing cards is
finding what situations will unbalance the card.

To counter this nasty effect. Give the card an upkeep cost of
3¥ and make it unique. This way you couldn't take out all
the glitzs and stompers. And really there are worse things that
people can do to desimate a deck and force someone to loose lots of
stuff.... two or three riots played in a row come to mind.

I do not feel this is a overpowering card. here is why.
yes it trashes some runners. but only the ones in play.
cards is played and gone. you can then play that runner
again. unless they use the in the spot light as a combo.

I think this card is great in that it will give even more reason
to to have 4 of 1 runner in your deck. down with stomper/katana
decks.

plus how many times do you see each player with 4 of the same
runner in there safe house at the same time.

there is one thing that could help and that would be to make the
card a Unique.
