Wow, if that isn't a cost effective card, I don't know what is. First
off, you've made him a prime runner without an upkeep cost? Secondly,
he's basically the Mole except he's 1 less in attack/defense and you've
given him anti-social, but you've added recon, technical +2, and decking
+3 AND the first program given to him is free also. Why have you left
the cost of the card the same as the mole if he's so much better!?

Fastjack is a 1/3 with technical 4 and decking 4 and he's a prime runner
with a cost of 7 and an upkeep of 1. Plus his special ability requires
you to spend 4=Y= to use. You could deploy your card with a fairlight and
2 crashes for a meezly 4 =Y=, when the amount it could normally cost is 18
simply for the gear alone. Granted, your runner has 2 negative effects
(anti-social and hermit, but they should only reduce the cost by 2 at the
most.

Let's reevalute some costs here. OK, you have The Mole:
The Mole
Cost: 4=Y=
Skills: Decking Technical
Rating: 2/4
Traits: hermit
Text: first cyberdeck is free.

I'd say -1/-1 would be worth -1 =Y=

anti-social and recon would cancel each other out (I don't know if that's
fair, but it's probably close enough)

IMO, every 2 skills should add 1 to the cost, just to make things seem a
little more even from the recon/anti-social balance, I'd say add 3=Y=

add at least 1 more =Y= from the free program

we have a grand total of keeping in mind the mole's base 4=Y=, the total
come sout to =7=

I don't know if this is the perfect cost, but I think it's at least a
little closer.

Did I figure things right everyone? I think we need a cost breakdown from
the Skuz-man. :)

Ahem, 4¥ to deploy a prime runner w/o upkeep... 7 points of skill
(decking in the ranks of Fastjack and Dodger), recon (anti-social and
hermit aren't overly burdening flaws for a decker), and he gets two
items of gear for free?

Mildly under priced isn't he?

Perhaps we're also losing site of the fact the Axl's original post was
what would your card read if you as a RL person were to enter the
SRTCG. Decking four is probably beyond MCSE, we're talking NASA
scientist, IT terrorist or Bill Gate's chief design engineer here.

Sorry, but the 4¥ caught me first thing. Heck, that was the cost I put
on J.J. and he's not even in a different ballpark then this decker
he's playing a whole different sport. :o)

So Wyrmy,
What do you do for a living? I've been programming computer (writing
applications and creating operating systems) for 15 years and I gave
myself Decking 2. I've also worked as an Electronic Engineer for 5 years
so I gave myself Technical 1.

Are you building your own computers from scratch (hardware and
software) and using then to break into the Pentagon?

I am glad to see that you used your decking 4 to get your system clock
set.

Doug.

With your obvious knowledge of netiquette and the use of the smiley, I
would give you Social of 4 as well.

Pick your smiley chummer.

|| THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL GRIDSEC REPRIMAND ||

... but, Bradley, that last smiley :] is trademarked
with Bull's name on it.

Next time I won't go so light -- I'll have to smack you with
one (or more?) of Bull's old cyberarms.

..Yeah, there was a smiley after that GridSec crack, too.

<veiled WotC bash>
I'm sure Bull might be willing to license it out to you, if you agree
to his terms.... :)

Speaking of Comrade Ratkovich, anyone heard from him lately?
