Suppose I want to play Nerps! as a pistol and give it to Kraker Jack.
Since Kraker Jack gets his first pistol free, do I have to pay 3¥ for=
Nerps!?

I would say yes and this is why:

Nerps! is a special that morphs into a gear card. The ¥3 that's paid is t=
o
turn Nerps! into a pistol. Kinda like turning it to AP ammo to give to
either a Ares Predator or Grizzly.

Just my opinion, but I think that's how it probably was meant to be played.

Yes. The 3¥ for Nerps is for the ability to have it duplicate a said piece of
gear.

Whether you're nerpsing a pistol for Krackerjack or a bike for Redline, you're
still going to have to pay the cost of the special to make it into that piece
of equipment.

Yes, Nerps is a special at all times. It is not a pistol, armor, ammo,
or spell. At anytime someone could play LOTI and try to destroy what
ever you nerped. So even though you are nerping a pistol the card is
still a special and kracker jack does not get specials for free.

C'mon- what do you think? It clones a pistol in play. You follow the
usual procedure. Cracker Jack does not let you get a Nerps for
free-which is what you're paying for. My 2 cents.

I think that has been the general consensus, although I disagree with the
way you phrased it...things are not necessarily that cut and dried, and the
"c'mon" comment is belittling for no reason....but as far as things seeming
cut and dried, well, ask Sorrow about Uncle Joe, right Sorrow?

;-)

Sorry, buddy, I had to get that in before you leave us and sell off all
your cards.
