Agreed. I admit I like the idea of them being truly random events, after
all you never know what life is going to throw at you.

**shrug** I know it is annoying, but it has solved some problems for me.
My mother wants to welcome in the millenium with her whole family around
her - so that is what we are doing this year - welcoming in the
"millenium" in St. Augustine with my family. Next year, my husband and I
will have our opportunity to welcome in the millenium the way we want to
(a more private celebration) - we also have freinds who are planning a
"Real Millenium" party for next year. I just figure that this means those
of us with half a clue, get to do this twice - once this year with the
masses for practice. Then we will do it again for real next year.

No clue. I'm still hoping that question will be answered.

You too - and happy new year!
