i have a question for those who were familliar with dodger and fastjack from
the novels
i haven't read a novel w/ fastjack in it yet bt is he that much better than
dodger?
in the paths to power, dodger was raw...and come the end he became "special"
i would just like your opinions and arguements

Hi J!

To your question: Fastjack was in at least "Night´s Pawn" (I´ve read
about half of the novels). Fastjack doesn´t appear to be very powerful
in terms of fighting over the Matrix, but he´s supposed to be a genius
at retrieving information from corps and similar stuff, so he´s still an
excellent decker. Additionally, the novels gave me the feeling that
Dodger is much more "addicted", or personally involved, with the Matrix,
while Fastjack is simply a "user", if an extremely mysterious one (note:
FJ is the only character in SRTCG not assigned to any race, as far as I
know).
This brought me upon a question: Do racially effective cards work with
or against Fastjack?

Presumably not. Hey, FJ can make it through the Retinal Scanner no
matter what! @****!

As an aside, not all of the Contacts are given race (most notably
absent: Bounty Hunter, although the Fat Man and Yoshimo are not human
but Mafia and Yakuza, respectively. I hope this doesn't mean the new
supplement, with its promise of Runners of both these affiliations, will
have their race forgotten.)

They shouldn't. Keep in mind Skuzzy sad the Loki card would be an
elven mafia hitman, or something to that ilk.
