Subject: Question about Hog Program
Date: Mon, 2 Mar 1998 11:39:22 -0800
Hello,

No one in our group had used the Hog program up until a couple of weeks
ago, and we were unsure as to the proper usage of the program.

If the attacking Decker is unsuccessful in using the Hog program against an
opponent, is the Hog program trashed immediately, or can it be used
repeatedly, regardless of success or failure?

Thanks,

Jon

The Hog program sticks around indefinitely. It's much 'safer' than
Black Hammer,
but has a much more limited effect. (Considering you need to have a
decker to use
either proggy, I'd rather use Black Hammer with a highly skilled decker
and ace
the other guy entirely, getting rid of program and decker. Or, for that
matter,
do the odd Riots-Drive By one-two for the same effect.)

I agree. However, in order to keep nuyen, with a particularly bad draw of
the pile, everything I needed to do that was at the bottom of the
pile...The Hog was a temporary fix.

Go figure....

Thanks,
J
