Can this card be used to take out *any* gear?
Drone? Spell? Cyberware (such as cyberarm
and dermal plating)?

Anything that is physical is sure to be affected by this card. But as
for spells, spirits and programs, I'm not sure. IMHO, I'd use the KISS
method: Keep It Simple Sorrow (it's suppose to be Stupid instead of
Sorrow, but I didn't want anybody to take it personaly). In the end, the
card says any gear, so why not spells, spirits and programs too ??

Sure, it's easy for this to make sense for SRTCG players with an SRRPG
background as well.

A spell formula could be poorly desgined.

Elemental/Spirit conjuring materials could be flawed (or perhaps a heavy
background count is present where the shaman is trying to call up the spirit).

Programs could be faulty or shipped with a bug that got through quality
control. Or even more realistic, the decker pulled the program off a warez
site with a virus or lord-knows-what tucked inside.
