Subject: Question about Runners on Retainer
Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 00:22:50 CDT
I was wondering how you all use Runners on Retainer. Yesterday was the
first time I'ld ever seen it not get sleazed and my opponent wanted to
use his runners to take the place of the Threat Rating of the card.

Was he supposed to tap his runners as if they were intercepting the
Run? Or can even his tapped runners get involved?

We played that they had to turn, in order to replace the threat rating.

H'm. Well, it does put a nice limiter on Big Tough Guy decks - no
getting intercepted by Torgo and Grizzly three times in a row.

However, the card doesn't really mention if they should be turned or
not. It's obviously not an intercept, though (and you would have to
turn them to intercept the run).

D6 time, I'd say. That and wait for the November release (or however
far it's been pushed back, now).

I agree.

We play it the Runner's must turn as if it were an interception.
