Subject: Question concerning rules
Date: Mon, 23 Feb 1998 15:00:27 +0100
I just got a few rule questions concerning

- Time Delayed Bomb
Do the Sleaze requirements mean that you need either 1 Ath. and 2 Tecs
OR just 1 demol. to sleaze? That would mean there is no difference to
the booby trap as far as sleazing is required... so why should they add
the 1ath. 2 tec requirement? Or does it mean that you need either 1 Ath
and 2 Tec OR 1 Ath and 1 Demol. to sleaze?

- Wild Goose Chase
Let's imagine to following szenario: I want to use the Z-Zone, roll the
dice successfully and want to send my runner team on the way. To defend
his runners from taking damage, my adversary plays Wild Goose Chase to
send my runners home. Now we get to argue whether my runners are on a
shadowrun or not (Z-Zone says you can use it INSTEAD OF a shadowrun,
does that now mean the team has to be handled exactly the same way as if
it would be on a shadowrun against a objetive??)...

Anyone with a solution??
Thanks,
Jens P.

I've never actually seen the card itself, but based on the spoiler
that I have I would say it is (Tec2 & Ath1) or Demo1. I'm not sure
why the extra requirements are there. Maybe to add a little more
variety to the game???

I think since it states that Z-Zone is used INSTEAD of a Shadowrun the
regular rules that apply during shadowruns don't work here. Also,
from how Z-Zone is worded Wild Goose Chase wouldn't work in this
situation anyway. After the roll is made the game goes directly into
combat, and WGC doesn't work during combat. This has never come up in
our games so I'm just speaking "off the top of my head". That's my
POV though...

Well, somebody on here told me I couldn't Z-Zone/Indirect Fire people to
just blow the crap out of my opponent, and their logic was it doesn't count
AS a Shadowrun. So you shouldn't be able to use WGC, either.

This is pasted in from the SRTCG FAQ directly off FASA's page:

What are the Sleaze requirements on Time-Delayed Bomb?

A team of Runners needs either Athletics and Technical 2 OR they need
Demolition to sleaze this Challenge.

You are correct. The Z-Zone takes the place of a Shadowrun. Since your
team isn't 'running a WGC wouldn't affect them.
