Quick question for all you gurus out there,

When the first challenge is revealed on cermak blast, is the ability to
sleaze the challenge still a viable option. For example, If elite
security mage is the first challenge revealed, it could normally be
sleazed with a stealth and 2 sorcery. But the challenge is transformed
into a big ugly bug instead. Can the team which has the stealth and
sorcery required sleaze it before the transformation occurs?

Thanks in advance for everyone's input

Ken,
It is my understanding that the Cermak Blast card doesn't so much 'transf=
orm' the challenge card into the bugs, but it instead represents the bugs=
themselves. After all, a Maglock is kinda hard to transform into a bug.=
I like to think of these challenge cards as place holders for whatever =
the Objective has planned. Since the bugs are Awakened, you could sleaze=
them with a spell.

Hope this helps,

Dan Weber

Unfortunately... no. The Elite Mage is treated like a Bug (or Brawler)
in all respects. However, she's still an Awakened Challenge, so you can
use things like Sleep and Stun Gloves, among a few items, to get past
without a bruise.

There's a card called "Some Things Never Change" in the upcoming
Underworld set that fixes the problem nicely. :)

Yes and no. They can't sleaze it using the original sleaze requirement
of stealth and sorcery but they CAN sleaze it (possibly with
Invisibility or Sleep—cards taht allow the user to sleaze by an Awakened
Challenge).
