Q1 :
Can runners with Melee 2 use 2 Katana at the same time in fighting a challenge
?

Q2 : Why have I to turn Banzai (Mafia Thug) first before I frag him to maybe
thrash a Target Runner ?

No, a runner can only use one weapon at a time.

don't know, maybe to allow the opponent to play some stinger that will not allow
the trashing of the target runner, like inflicting damage on Banzai (turned)
killing him, not allowing to trash the runner....is this possible? (Nice way of
turning an answer into a question)

I can answer your first question. A runner with two melee can only use
one Katana. The melee number is added to the damage that runner will
inflict. I hope I answered your question.

Only if they have Ambidextrous on them (or there's a Runner whose card
states differently. i.e. - Flatline using two pistols.)

OTH you can use two Hand Razors in combat. (This will be clearer in
2nd Run.)

Some cards might be able to affect him once he's turned and before he
can use his special to target a runner. Others in future expansions
might be able to keep a Runner from turning, and thus keep Banzai
(Yakuza Thug BTW) from using his special.

Also, if he was turned from a previous shadowrun and someone like Jade
kept him from unturning, he couldn't use his special. Or if Archie
McDeven turned Banzai before you had a chance to declare wanting to
use him, you wouldn't be able to use his special.

Anyways, that's some of the reasons...

Only if you play ambidextrous on the RUnner. (Ambidextrous is a card that
allows you to play two pistols or two HTH weapons on them)

Probably so if you have a Humanis Policlub Ganger out targeting Orcs he
can't hurt you for another turn... It also prevents him from doing
something before he frag's himself later that turn. Come to think of it
if he didn't need to turn he could do it just before he is killed on a
Shadowrun, which would be pretty lame... ;)

Only with ambidextarity can one card use two weapons simultaniously.
