Is it possible to use indirect fire and/or the Sniper Roost to assist in
knocking off intercepting runners.

I'd say yes...after all you are assisting a shadowrun (one being intercepted).

This question reminds me of one I ask but got no reply (OK it was in the
middle of a long message). How many runners can participate (ie directly or
indirectly) in an intercept?????

Six runners. You're creating an intercepting team, much like a runner
team.

Here's a snippit from the SRCard Q&A:

Q4: Can you intercept with more than SIX runners?
A4: No.

Unfortunately, no. Once the intercept occurs, the shadowrun ends, and
indirect fire/sniper's roost only aids in shadowruns. (Similarly, it
won't help out the intercepting team.)
